Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to explore MaP, whatever tools they browse with. This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we've done

• Semantic structure: proper landmarks, one h1 per page, logical heading order and a skip-to-content link.
• Full keyboard operability, including the atlas charts' pins and links, with visible focus styles throughout.
• Colour contrast meeting or exceeding AA on all text, and information never conveyed by colour alone.
• Alternative text on all meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
• Reduced-motion support: all animation — including the moving match routes — is disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
• The full patch network is documented as accessible text, so nothing on the charts is chart-only.
• Text resizes to 200% without loss of content; touch targets meet minimum size guidance.

Known limitations

The atlas charts are drawn as SVG images; their internal geography is decorative and not fully screen-reader accessible. All equivalent information is provided in the match spreads beneath them.
