Sheet 3 — About MaP

Restoration shouldn't happen in silos.

Match a Patch was created by Whole Wild World, a Gibraltar-based charity working to make the whole world wild again.

We saw community rewilding and landscape-scale restoration growing side by side — but rarely growing together.

MaP is our answer: a simple, connected donation model that funds visible nature in cities and vital ecosystems in the wild, in the same act.

It starts with six patches. It's built to scale to hundreds.

What we hold to

Regeneration

We restore ecosystems and strengthen the natural systems that sustain life.

Connection

We connect people, places and organisations to create collective impact.

Scalability

We build solutions that are simple, replicable and ready to grow globally.

Transparency

We operate with openness, accountability and donor trust.

Partnerships — a field guide

Every organisation has an ecological role.

In nature, every species plays a part in a healthy ecosystem. The same is true of MaP. Whatever your organisation does best, there's a niche for you in the network.

Founding partners

The Pioneer Species Programme

Every ecosystem begins somewhere. Pioneer Species are the founding partners helping build MaP — shaping the platform, testing ideas and laying the ground for everything that grows next. Pioneers get early recognition across the network, a voice in how MaP evolves, and first access to the Pioneer Fund: catalytic funding from our Canopy Partners that helps early projects take root.
